Quality and performance with 2014 release bikes
Beta have just released details and photos of the 2014 Trials line-up. Improving on the breed, the 2014 Evo range host a variety of upgrades to re-enforce the position of the bike as a equally great Club and High performance trials machine.
Again they have drawn from the Factory Trial Team to make the refinements.
Chassis updates
- Black frame
- New triple clamps in a sleeker format designed to reduce friction on the pinch area
- Pinch bolt as a top steering nut replacement to aid in steer bearing adjustments
- Lower and closer clamps to aid bar flex and comfort
- Low friction SKF fork seals across the range
- New valving for a better feel
- Longer rear shock with Factory inspired valving to match the front fork changes
- New skid plate which is lighter and more agile on the larger obstacles
- New rear shock linkage guard
- Shorter exhaust for smoother power at lower RPM allowing higher revs when required
- New muffler mounting system (same as 2013 Factory Edition)
- New footpegs with a more appealing designs and more resistant to mud packing
- Better mapping on the 300cc to suit the engine changes
Engine Updates (300cc only)
- New primary ratio for faster clutch spin and smoother engagement
- New water pump drive gear for quieter operation
- Lighter clutch puill
- Smaller kick gear for easier starting
- 11/41 changed to 10/42 to suit the primary gear ratio change
- New crankshaft with larger diameter flywheels that are lighter to aid in vibration reduction/ flywheel inertia reduction
- Larger Con rod pin
- New main cases to suit the crank and a new centre gasket for better sealing
- Cylinder head bleed screw to aid in coolant changes
